Post: Any Fish But Mine

Somebody commented that they’re many fish in the sea. Well, could somebody please, please, tell Bree this?

Bree’s this girl in my class who tries so desperately to be friends with some of my friends, Lauren and Rhyme (cool name, huh?). She is so-oh desperate. I don’t really like her, even though when I first came to this school she pretended to be my friend.

Today in English class, Bree’s best friend, Taylor, started yelling, “Ooh, Bree! Bree-ee-ee ee-ee.” And naturally I was so annoyed and turned around. “Ooh, Bree likes (you know when people go “like” like “lie ike”?) Lealand! Bree likes Lee! Ooh, Lee and Bree, ooh!”
Bree started acting like she was thirteen or something and saying, ”Stop lying. Stop lying.” But smiling this kind of shy smile and fluttering her eyes! So after lunch, Taylor and her whole crew were standing outside the classroom and hanging around Bree and saying, “Well, if you like him, you’ll have to ask him out.” I went and stood there and Bree wasn’t looking at me. So Taylor was running back and forth to the class and then she came out and hugged Bree and said “I’m so sorry, Bray-bree, he said no.”
Me. “Oh, man. Does that suck.”
Taylor. “It’s okay, Bree, he’s too smart for you. I mean, no…um, that he’s a total stiff.”
And then I went into class, and sat down and Lealand turned around and grinned at me. Then his eyes went all sad.

Later (boy, this story’s long), later, Math, we had a free period, so we were just hanging out, basically. So Taylor and her friend Cristalle gave Bree this makeover. They braided her hair and put make-up on her, then somehow got it into their heads that she had bushy eyebrows, and this was why Lealand turned her down. So they plucked, and plucked, and plucked, and plucked. The space between her eyebrows is as much as this paragraph and the next one.

Yeah. They were asking him if he changed his mind and he said one of my typical phrases– “Uh, yeah….no.” So funny! But everyone was calling him a jerk. That girl doesn’y even like Lealand, Taylor did. Taylor liked him for ages, and he turned her down. This was during our courtship. Even though we’re broken up, it’s been like two friggin days!

Okay, so maybe I’m being a bitch, and Lealand was being a jerk, but if I cared any less, I’d die.

Luv ya (and you luv me right back, even when I’m sprung)
