Post: Blogging: Wordpress Vs B2evolution

When it comes to blogging software you are spoilt for choice, each piece of software has its pros and cons. Right here and right now, we are going to review the 2 most common blog software (b2evolution and wordpress) so that you dont have too!

Both b2evolution and wordpress are self-hosted blogs, which means that you download them onto your computer, upload it to your web host and install it onto your website, however wordpress can also be hosted for you at wordpress.com if you don’t currently have web hosting.

Its actually weird that i should be reviewing these 2 great pieces of software because b2evolution is actually the software that i started my blogging journey on and wordpress is the software that i am currently using. The other thing to point out is that both of these 2 came from the original b2 script. (more here at b2evo)

Conclusion

Both have really good features, and to be completely honest with everyone, i would say that they are pretty equal in comparison, i only chose wordpress due to liking it more personally, i felt wordpress was more supported in the blogging community and was more talked about.

For e.g. if you search google for wordpress you get 178million results, if you search for b2evolution you only get 4.75million results. For me its easy to see what i would choose, especially when it has the bigger backing.

You just gotta love wordpress =)
