Here I am,
Trying not to cry,
I just wish you were here,
These feelings, I can’t deny.
It’s only been a few days,
But I can’t seem to sleep,
Ever since I realised,
My heart is falling deep.
I don’t know what to say,
I don’t know where to start,
There’s not enough words,
To explain my aching heart.

I never expected this,
Now all I want is you,
& I promise that forever,
My love for you is true.
I wish you could read my mind,
So I wouldn’t have to say,
The way you make me feel,
Every single day.

If you don’t feel the same,
Then that’s fine,
I know I can’t push you,
To be mine.
But I hope that one day,
You’ll know what you’ve missed,
So, until that day,
I’ll learn to resist.
