Post: everyone’s changing … is it for the better???

Hey it’s me again! … hoo knew that I would remember to update this BUT I have and I think I’m going to enjoy this blogging thing!

well yesterday we had the most amaaaazing weather … no clouds, blue sky and the sun high in the sky … it was stunning especially after all this rain we’ve been having! So what better way to enjoy the sun than having a bbq … YUM! :) me and my friend went for a walk round town while my parents were still in work and give them time to set the bbq up! … we walked for miles, but it didn’t feel like we had walked that far because we were just chatting. So we got back to mine just in time for the food being put on the bbq … perfect timing! We helped get everything together and put everything on the table outside just in time for the food being brought over. Well after eating waaaaay too much it was around 8pm. The sun was still in the sky so we thought we might aswell take advantage of the sun and go down the beach, after all we are meant to be on our summer holidays! So we walked down to the beach (although this only takes 2 minutes from my house) and we walked along the beach and then along the seafront just chatting about everything.

We then started chatting about 6th form. This september we are going back to school for 6th form and at the moment we are waiting for our GCSE results. I always thought I knew what I wanted to do and then it came to this year and for some reason I had no idea. So at the moment I’m anxious about getting my results but I’ve decided to not worry and just make the best of what I get coz there’s nothing i can do about them now! :) Anyway, this conversation about 6th form lead to us talking about how we think our group of friends is going to change. We started to talk about how our group of friends is so random and that everyone is in a little pair but everyone still gets on really well because they have the same likes and dislikes, but then we realised that weren’t really the same as them. So we were wondering how did we end up being in their group of friends??? … we do really like them and believe me they are the most wonderful people you will ever meet but we realised their likes didn’t match our likes. Me and my friend realised that while we enjoyed going out socialising, going to parties and doing new exciting things and travelling our other friends enjoyed staying in, going out for a meal (don’t get me wrong I do enjoy going out for a meal .. but not on a friday night when everyone is at a party!) and very civil things like that. Recently we have started going to parties with people outside our friendship group and have really been enjoyin them. The other girls at these partied then said a couple of weeks ago that next year she thinks we are going to be good friends and that we are going to change groups of friends! To me, this sounds great because I really do enjoy going out with these other people but I don’t want to leave all my friends behind. I think that everyone is changing though and I’m not sure everyone is changing in the same way. So is everyone going to change? Am I going to end up being friends with a group of totally new people? … will I end up like the character Jenna in 13 going on 30 and becoming friends with the “popular” group? Who knows? .. The only thing I do know for sure is that I’m going to enjoy myself and take everyday as it comes! … oh yeah, and keep you all updated … if anyone is interested in my ramblings :)

    friends will come and go, as long as you treat your friends (whoever they may be at the time) the same way as you want them to treat you everyone will be happy.

    as u grow and you get a more detailed picture of what you want from the future your friends will most likely change according to your needs and you will make new friends who share similar passions etc

    I went through exactly the same thing a while back.
    I had a big group of friends (mixure of boys and girls), but then one day… I just got bored of them.
    I joined another group and it was alright for a few weeks, but then I really started missing my old group and realised they were the ones for me.
    Sometimes, you just need a break from your friends to actually realise how lucky you are.
    I’ve been back with the group of friends that I started with for ages now, and I couldn’t be happier.
    Moving groups was a good choice, it just made me see how much I really need my friends :]
