Post: Freaking Future
Future is such a stupid word. It’s a stupid concept, too. I hate the future, especially since my class went to the Career Symposium. All my friends suddenly were these grown ups, asking things like: “How many credits will get me into a college with good computer technology programs?” I was ready to slump around and goof off, maybe stop at Sev to pick up a Slurpie. But no. Suddenly, I was freaking out about what I’m going to do with my life (again). In first to fifth grade, I wanted to be a lawyer. I picked out my outfits. Then I realised that I’d have to speak in front of people and I could lose. I hate losing. I’m a terrible, terrible loser. So, in fifth grade, my English teacher was an English lady named Mrs. Hectorsfeld. She complimented my writing, so I decided–journalist. But I want to be a doctor or something. Psychologist?

picking your future is probably one of the hardest things to do, especially when your younger. One day you’ll wanna be this, then next day it will be something else. I didnt know what i really wanted to do till recently. 3 years after i dropped out of school at 15. My dream job is not possible at this moment in time as their is a lack of jobs or i have a lack of experience/qualifications etc, so have had to settle for a job in a betting shop. The point of this little story is everyone has a dream job, you mentioned doctor & journalist, the way you could do it is your do journalism while u study to be a doctor and create a website that blogs about your life as a doctor ?? During school years its nice to have an idea of what you wanna be when u grow up, but from my experience only a small amount of people decide to do what they wanted when they were at school, Enjoy your school years while you have them, think hard about what you wanna be, once you leave school you end up growing up so fast and dont have as much time to sit n think “what do i wanna be” and may even have to take up any job just to pay the bills (like me)
