Post: High School Musical 2 - Any1 Going 2 Watch It?

The much anticipated high school musical 2 is due to hit our screens (September 21st in the UK) soon, will you be watching it?

I watched the first one and thought it was good, however the previews for high school musical 2 don’t look as good so i may well skip it.

General plot outline:
The beginning of summer at East High begins with all of the students counting down to summer. Troy and the Wildcats agree that they all need jobs, and Troy in particular seems distressed because of college expenses. Gabriella reveals, much to the disappointment of Sharpay, that she’ll be staying until the end of graduation. Troy promises her that they’ll be together for vacation, and gives her a necklace with a “T” on it, for “Troy”.

As they’re about to kiss, the romantic moment is smothered by a fellow classmate asking Troy to sign his yearbook, and Chad saying that they need to go play hoops.

Sharpay convinces Mr. Fulton to hire Troy at Lava Springs, the country club that she and her brother vacation at, so that she’ll be able to be with him during the summer. Mr. Fulton calls Troy and hires him. As Sharpay practices her control of the club, Troy arrives with the Wildcats at tow. Sharpay questions Mr. Fulton, but says he cannot fire the rest of the Wildcats, since it was part of Troy’s wish that they come along. Thus, Sharpay tells him to make their jobs miserable so they’ll want to quit. [More]

additionally the IMDB (internet movie data-base) has given this movie a 6/10.

    I won’t be watching it. I got so sick of High School musical even before I saw the first one. Before I had a chance to see it, I ended up having to put up with the craze– notebooks, bookbags, folders, cd’s, bed covers, socks, posters, bracelets, pencils….. I became sick of it quick.
    Maybe once the craze dies down I’ll watch both….

    I watched the first one and thought it was very good.
    My sister loves it.

    But I have a feeling that the second one won’t be as good.

    I didnt even see more then 20 min of the first one. All the hype about how good it was turned me away. Then later my friends informed me it wasnt that good anyway. But i still hear so much about it at school.
    The sencond one probably wont be as good. Sequal usually arnt. I also hear that a 3rd and 4th will be comming to movie theaters sometime.
