Post: I Told Me So

Lealand asked me out. I was sitting at Tim Hortons and eating with the other four s’s: Stephanie, Samantha, Saska, Sydnee and Sarah (weird, I know) when I saw William, Lealand’s very nice, very good-looking friend, who also happens to be Sydnee’s boyfriend, and I would never lust after him. Lust, not pursue. So he came to see his boo (rolls eyes) and sat down.

W: Lealand’s here, you know

Sk: So? How does that put dosh in my pocket?

Sy: Give it up, Skye. Where’s he?

Wi: Hiding. Getting up some courage, to face the unbelievably lovely and amazing… 

Sas: Shut up, Will.

Sy: Where is he?

Lealand: Hi guys. 

Sk: (silent)

Guys: Hey, Lea. 

William: Want some privacy? (Punched in arm by Syd. Go, girl)

Lea: Please. 

Girls: Aww…. 

Sk: (shoots lasers from eyes) Hi, Lealand. 

Lealand: Hi, Skye. Um, I was, um, wondering, um…

Sk: Huh?

Lealand: We’ve been flirting for ages, and then I started to like you, and, um, then I got all shy and I was wondering… 

Skye: I like you, too, you know.

Lealand: (grinning like an idiot) No shit? (my favorite phrase) You wanna go out sometime? Catch a movie.

Skye: You bloody idiot, I want to be your girlfriend. 

Lealand: Oh-kay. And I want to do this… (kisses new girlfriend while she melts into the middle of a grilled cheese sarmie)

Okay, I can’t say that all of it went like that, simply because I think that stopping and writing everything down as it was said, because that would’ve spoiled the mood, don’t you think? I remember the “No shit?” part because it was a kind of an inside joke. And the last two sentences because they sound like a cheesey movie but it was so sexy and so sweet in real life, and because that was our first kiss(!).

I’m floating on sunshine. But I’m going to change my sign-off today
