Post: Just Thinking

Hey,
Okay, so my obsessive friend is talking to me on MSN and she’s boring me.
So while she talks to herself, I’m going to talk to you.

Question: Is it normal for teens to kind of.. Obsess over their weight?
Only recently I’ve started obsessing… No, I’m not turning Anorexic. And I know I’m deffo NOT fat.
I’m perfectly healthy. Promise.
Well… Last Monday, I weighed myself on some scales. I weighed 105 lbs / 7.7 stone.
Even though that sounds really overweight, my stomach isn’t big.
Ever since Monday, I have been eating properly, having all three meals a day… But I haven’t been snacking in between my meals.
I normally would have something to eat a about 9pm-ish while watching Big Brother but I haven’t since Monday.
I’ve just checked myself on the scales today and I now weigh 104 lbs.
I know it’s not alot from what I last weighed, but it’s a start… I honestly didn’t expect any change.
All my friends say I’m skinny and stuff and I know I am… But something inside of me says I need to do this.
I’m not going to stop eating all together and I’ll make sure I look after myself.
The most important thing of all is to not over work myself. So I only do 20 sit ups a day.
That’s okay, isn’t it?
I got a measuring tape thing and measured my waist (I jacked it out of a sewing kit I found… I don’t know why it’s there… No one in my family sews)..
It’s not because I’m worried that my stomach will explode or anything.. I was just curious.
I also did a BMI test over the internet and some said I was underweight, some said I was at a healthy weight.

Not doing anything today… Ripe, Shorty and some other guys asked me to the park - I can’t be pissed to get off my arse so I’m not going. Lol.
Obsessive friend still rambling on about something… Not sure what.

    naa it’s perfectly normal i’m in the same boat.. i feel i need to watch what i eat so i make sure i eat healthy but i kno i’m not fat..

    I got told I was underweight for my height before a few years ago and I had never attempted to lose anything. According to BMIs now I’m apparently healthy. I used to get told I was skinny all the time but I just can’t gain weight the only thing that helped me was working and rock climbing.
    I think your pretty safe doing 20 situps you could probably do more then that. Your body will let you know if you have to stop (I’m not saying do everything until you can’t anymore) You only really need to eat more if your doing a serious exercise routine. Muscle is heavier then fat! Exercising only really loses you weight to an extent then it will just create muscle as long as your eating the right ammount. Eating properly is good I have phases of it I sometimes can’t resist cereal at about 9-10pm
    Scaring myself I actually sound like I know somthing :o I think it’s perfectly fine to think about you weight and whatever it’s natural. Everyone does at somepoint I have anyway. You seem to be sensible enough to not overdo anything and you will soon see what works for you. As long as your not losing masses of weight it’s all good.
