Post: Movey♥Blues

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I used to live overseas. Where, doesn’t matter, but obviously (I lived there 8 years) I had quite a few friends. It’s been what, seven years, since I moved, so I haven’t seen them in ages.
Yesterday was my former best friend (from that country)’s birthday. I received these e-mails, chock full of photos of my friends now. Wow. I couldn’t recognize half of them. The people who once seemed just to be a part of my life, I could once recognize just by hearing them snore or laugh and here were photos–clear, good, upclose ones, too–and I had to rack my brains to find out what the first letter of their names were.
They all looked so odd! You now those forms you fill in on Piczo and MySpace and stuff? Yeah, well for like a year and a half when I first moved here, I used to fill in some of my new friends names with all of my old ones. I named my iPod after them.

This.Is.So.Despressing!

Luv ya (Do you have any experience with this? Any advice? Goodness knows you’re smarter than I am.)

    Moving away is hard..
I used to live… Somewhere, lol, and I made lots of friends, just like you.
But we didn’t get on with our neighbours and put it this way… They made our lives hell.
I was young so I don’t really remember much of it but they were nasty people.

When my parents told me that we were moving I cried for weeks. I couldn’t get over the fact that I was leaving so many people I loved behind.
(My grandparents lived next door to us, so I was leaving them too).

About a year later after the move, my grandparents told us they were getting a house across the road from us.
    I was filled with joy.
A few weeks before they moved my grandad was diagnosed with cancer. He still wanted to go ahead with the move, he was determind not to die where he was living, he wanted to be near me and my family.
    …He didn’t make it.
He died soon after but we did burry him here. Now my nan lives near me.

Looking back, I’m glad we moved… I wouldn’t have wanted to have grown up where I was.

Well, there’s my life story, lol.

    xx

I moved alot when I was a kid. Our last move, my current house, is the longest we’ve ever stayed anywhere. And I get sad sometimes thinking about my old friends and wondering what they’re doing. But I did find one of my old friends myspaces and she looks so different from what I remember. But I would never want to move back now, I’ve made way too many great friends here.

Hey Skye! It’s Tori. (the one in ur class, not the s.k.a.n.k. in 10H.)
Thanks for letting me read your blog. I had no idea that you felt so sucky about moving around lots. You seemed so confident and stuff when you came! Shows what I know. :) I moved too, you know. We used to live in Barbados. I made so many friends and when I left, I was all teary. I still miss them, but I always remeber that if I had never moved I would have never met all our friends, (you, Syd, Riley, Vicky (aka. Tori 2!) and of course ♥ Franklin Paul ♥ ;) ) and going back would be just as painful and just a awkward as moving here was.
Anyway. I love you and you ARE a good writer, even thought the people on mydyd (that’s it innit?) don’t seem to read and enjoy ur blog.
