Post: My Most Useful Wordpress Plugins

Everybody has their own list(s) of favourite wordpress plugins, i do also. Here are the  plugins that i have found most useful (However also bear in mind, that there are many plugins around that i have never seen or used (comment them) so my list is biased towards plugins that only i have used).

  1. WP-EMail - “Absolutely fantastic, adds an ‘Email This Page/Post’ link to every page that helps increase page popularity and encourages your members to share with their freinds”
  2. WP-PostRatings - “Adds a post rating system to your blog that allows your guest rate your post. Also gives the option for displaying the top rated posts etc via a widget”
  3. WP-Sticky - “Adds a sticky post feature to your WordPress’s blog.“ 
  4. All in One SEO Pack - “Saves you hours of manual editing of files, with this plugin everything is done for you, however you still get the ability to tweak as you wish”
  5. Brian’s Threaded Comments - “Gives users (and admins) the ability to reply to individual comments, its a much needed plugin that can reduce comment clutter”
  6. Defensio: Anti-Spam - “Its the only spam plugin that i need nowadays, currently gives me a 99.73% accuracy on detecting comment spam” (See for yourself here)
  7. Email Users - “Want to send out a monthly newsletter, or important announcement? With email users you can, the best thing is you can pick who the email(s) are sent to”
  8. Search Unleashed - “For anyone that wants to make the default WP search engine perform better, search unleased is a must”
  9. Yet Another Related Post Plugin - “Like other related post plugins, but with more and better options”
  10. WP-Dead Bolt - “Are you tired of spammers registering for your blog, just to spam it with comments? Want to block a spammers email? With dead bolt you can”
