Post: Naming Names

Although a lot of people find this hard to believe, but I really hate my name. I’ve always wanted something romantic and long that looks good when it’s written in cursive. When I was in the third grade, this psychic from Africa came to my school and gave me a name. I won’t say it. But I love that name, and I’ve always tried to get my name changed to that, like when I changed schools. My mom and dad aren’t the most creative people in the world–matching Skye with Moon and Jade with Fire. It doesn’t even have a cool meaning like ‘love’ or ‘peace’ or ‘likes to plant rice many a day’.

Just sayin.

    I hate writing my name in cursive C a i t l i n, there are too many little lines and none of the pretty loops. But I actually like my name, not too many people share the same spelling. It means pure I think, I wish it had a better meaning though
