Post: One Big Happy Family

Hey,
So last night, mum went out to her friend’s BBQ.
She’s so bloody… I can’t think of the word right now.

She got me to ring her every hour to tell her things were okay and no one had been murdered.
After she’d left, I watched BB with my Dad && Sis and then told my sis to have a bath.
Then I had a shower.
Then I put my sis to bed.
Phoned Mum at 10pm to tell her to take her pills for her back. So I ring her.
Someone picks up the phone and says, “Hello Miss Katieeee!!!”
I thought to myself, “That’s deffo not mum.”
I said, “Um hi!.. Who is this?”
She said, “This is your FAV maths teacher! Do you remember me?”
Then it suddenly hit me… My old maths teacher from Middle School!
I said, “Omg. Hi! Of course I remember you!”
We talked for a while. She said she’d come over one of these days and see how I was.
She helped me alot with my Maths. I was rubbish at it before I met her.

Anyways.. Then stayed up with Dad and played arm wrestling.
I’m so friggin’ weak.
It’s unbelievable. I couldn’t even move his stupid hand. Lmfao.

Then Mum walked through the door. She looks so pretty with make-up on.. I don’t know why she doesn’t wear it more often.
She had a good time.
A very good time judging by the number of stories she’s told me.

Then when I went to bed, my parents came up and sat on my bed.
I thought to myself, “Shit, did I leave the bath running or something?”
But no, they weren’t here to shout.
They were here to thank me.
Mum said, “I just want to thank you for looking after your sister. I know she can be a real handful, but you did everything perfectly. I’m so lucky to have you. And I love you.”
Then Dad said, “Haha. I didn’t even have to get up off my chair! You did everything! I love you so much, Katie. I know I don’t tell you very often but it doesn’t mean I don’t care. I love you with all my heart and I’m so proud to have a daughter like you. No matter how old you get, you’ll always be my little girl.”
Then both hugged me, kissed me on the cheek and went downstairs.
Whoa.
I’m loved.. :|
Unbelievable.
I don’t know what brought them to say all those nice things about me.. They weren’t even drunk.
I love them both so much.
I really don’t know what I’d do without them.
I think when they saw me do those things, they finally saw that I’m not a kid anymore. I’m growing up.
I went to bed a very happy girl last night :D

Did nothing today. Took the dog for a walk. WHOOT.

    Uh oh. Be careful with that. They might be up to something. Watch tomorrow they’ll be like. “So, you’re not a kid any more. You’re growing up. Have you thought about what kind of job you want?” lol

    Seriously though, it’s so sweet.
