Post: true love?

do you believe in true love?
do you believe that there’s ONE person out there who’s made for YOU?

i do. i believe (and hope) that, one day, my prince charming will appear into my life and make everything right. i feel that this day is years away, though. but i still have complete hope.

but as of now…there’s this guy.

he and i started liking each other in 6th grade. (i’ll be starting 11th this august). we liked each other all through out middle school, but then he moved. not too far, but i didn’t see him everyday like i used to. however, my feelings for him never went away, and vice versa. we recently talked about this and we’re actually supposed to get together soon to talk more. but, the thing is, he broke up with his girlfriend a month or so ago. he told me that he doesn’t like her anymore and that he talks to her just to be nice. although, i saw comments and stuff like that from him to her saying “i miss you” blah blah. also, he posted a picture somewhere which was evidently from a friend- it implicitly said that his friend missed him. when i asked him what it was, he said “oh, a friend made that for me.” turns out it was his ex (who i’m actually friends with). i don’t understand why he wouldn’t just say her name or tell me that he still talks to her … but that really irritates me.

i don’t know though. does he want something to happen between he and i? because it seemed like he did when we talked about it. but that other stuff throws me off. or am i just sweating the little stuff?

for some unfathomable reason, there’s no one i’ve liked as much as i have him.
and he’s not even all that great.

    it is likely that he does not mention her name as that is in the past, and 90% of the time new g/f’s dont like to hear about ex’s, especially when your still friends with the ex.

    from what ive read he likes you and does not want you feeling threatened by his ex (regardless of whether or not they are friends), if she messages him saying ‘i miss you’ or whatever that is out of his control, unless of course he is messaging her the same things?

    Regarding the picture, saying his friend means he is talking about the present/future, saying his ex would mean he was living in the past still, would you be happier with him reffering to her as his friend or as his ex, as for me i prefer to refer to ex’s as friends.
