Were back once again with a brand new competition, this time around we are giving you the chance to win your own domain name (yourwebsite.com), an installed copy of Wordpress 2.5 and 1 years worth of free hosting for your blog.

The Prize(s) In Detail

In total the winner will get 3 prizes, they are as follows; (some restrictions apply)

  1. Your own domain name* - get yourself on the web with your own unique .com domain name.
  2. Free web hosting for your domain** - web hosting can cost from a few pounds to hundreds of pounds a month, we will give you a years free hosting to go with your domain.
  3. A wordpress blog installed - get your writing career off to the best possible start by having a copy of the brand new wordpress 2.5 blog software installed directly to your website.

Consolation Prizes

Due to receiving some quality entries so early into the competition, i have decided to add 3 consolation prizes. Each will consist of a mycyc.com sub-domain (yoursite.mycyc.com) and must contain a link back to mycyc.com. Not as glorious as first prize, but still a great start to your blogging/writing career.

How To Enter

If you wish to enter this great competition, all you have to do is write a paragraph (via the comments below) on why you should win, however the paragraph must not contain more than 25 words, so choose your word wisely*** To make it even easier, the 25 word limit has now been scrapped! :)

The winner will be picked based on who i feel gives the best reason.

All entries must be posted below via a comment by 1st May 2008.

What You Could Use The Site For

You could use the site for a variety of things such as;

  • A personal blog where you post about your day-2-day life. (like our staff blog)
  • An advice and information column, where you help others. (like ours)
  • A news site, where you post news and reviews. (example)
  • A place for your poetry and stories.
  • Or whatever else you can think off.

Small print

* Domain name must be available to register.
** The free hosting will be terminated should you use the hosting for anything other than your blog, or should you write/host files that are illegal.
 *** Words that contain 2 characters or less do not count towards the 25 word limit.

    i think i should win because i am always giving advice to someone.This godd be very beneficial to the people who are constantly asking me wat to do about a situation.I would also be able to stop repaeting myself and just have a generalization on the topic that come up often

    heya. im nt gna rite that i deserve this or i should get this because that wuld b being ungrateful for wat i already have. i would appreciate it though if i won this and i would be very grateful. umm if i won this i would make a site with advice columns in every topic possible, i would have a personal blogging section for every1s day to day life or just randum things u want to write about, ill have a poetry section, a help section, a SEALED SECTION for all the personal issues where u dnt have to sign ur name, and alot more. i hope i win because i want to help people all over the world from the small little country of NEW ZEALAND

    This is an opportunity that I just couldn’t refuse. I’ve been writing poetry for a very long time, and I was always inspired by my favorite writers on Poetry sites. So if it weren’t for those Poetry sites, I don’t think I would be as great as they say I am. I guess it’s my turn now to give back to NEW poets and poetess out there. I wanted to create a Poetry Site much like the ones that inspired me. Hopefully this goes successfully!

    i think that i should win because i love to write and share to the world what y life is all about… i always find myself searching for sites to put my poetry storys and advise.. but then i have like 20 places where allmy things end up…. so if i win i would make a site thats i could go to and vent if i need to and always have someone there….thank you verry much for your time..

    Hello there! I’m Olivia and well, to be frank, I would love to win this contest for one reason: I love to write and express myself, and would love for others to do the same as well. People don’t realize how important it is so express yourself! I would like the importance of this issue to rise as teens discover creative flows they never knew to be there- and use it! I myself love to draw, paint, write poetry and stories, and would create somewhat of a safe haven for teens and their work so we could all work together and be able to understand each other- I am very motivated to get my dream into a reality even if I don’t win this contest.

    all my life ive never really felt like ive belonged anywhere…ive always felt as if i was diffirent and everyone around me was from another planet. but since mycyc its helped me so much..i feel like where all a little family…id like to win so that i could do the same for someone else..or rather loads more people…

    Hey everyone im Ninga im 16 and full of all the advice i can give. I think i should win this site because i love to write and help people. If i had this site i would be able to post my writing and show that not all teenagers think about is the oppisite sex. I would put advice up there not only for teenagers but adults who need a little extra help to. Like they might need help understanding there teenager or child or maybe just some love advice. Id make my blog for everyone and not just a select group of people. I will make my site for everyone of all ages to look at and understand.
